How to Layer SPF Under Natural Foundation Without Pilling, Flashback or Breakouts. A Science Backed Guide for Skin-First Makeup Wearers.

Most skincare advice tells you to apply SPF before foundation.
What it rarely tells you is how and that gap is where most routines fall apart.
The foundation pills. The SPF leaves a white cast. Makeup slides off by midday. If you have experienced any of this, the problem is rarely the products themselves. It is the application sequence, the formulation chemistry, and the waiting time in between. This guide breaks it all down from a formulation perspective, so you can wear both every single day without compromise.
Why SPF and Foundation behave differently on skin.
Sunscreen and foundation serve fundamentally different purposes, and that difference is written into their chemistry.
